Talking LAPTOP Buying Confusion!!!

Hi friends,

I'm totally confused about what to buy between these two laptops :-
First laptop configuration (Lenovo 3000 Y410 775756Q) :-
Intel Core 2 Duo processor With 2.00 GHz,FSB : 800 MHz + NVIDIA GeForce Go 8400M GS Graphics card,14.1" Display,HDD : 160GB at 5400rpm.RAM : 2 GB
Details at http://www-604.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/st...86018425420608
Second Laptop Configuration (Lenovo Laptop 3000 Y510 775844Q) :-
Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 1.66 GHz , FSB : 667 MHz + NVIDIA GeForce Go 8600M GT Graphics card, 15.4" Display, HDD : 160 GB at 5400rpm., RAM : 2 GB
Details at http://www-604.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/st...86018425476362

Both Laptops have price difference of only 1000/- (former is higher) and have almost same features except those mention above. I've only one problem which one to prefer either laptop with higher processor speed(2GHz), higher FSB(800MHz) and less/low graphics card(128MB G84000) or low processor speed(1.66GHz), FSB(667MHz) low too, with higher/better graphics card(G8600gt) ? I'm concerned about future-proof(3-4years) + gaming too(not so much but will able to play latest games at any details, I don't mind).

Actually my friend have left decision of buying laptop for him on me. I want to impress him. Both of us equal ideas means what I do he will happy or what he do I will be happy therefore I used 'I' instead of 'he' for him..Thanx in advance!!!
And if anyone have bought these laptops, plz post ur reviews. Ur reviews will be most welcomed.

How much do these cost..?? Lenovo's cost much more than dells and hps.. If you are willing to change from lenovo to dell, you can get the a customised version satisfying all your requirements.
If you would like to stick to lenovo, I'd recommend you to go with the better proccccy as of now..!! Gfx card ccan be upgraded later also..!!

Talking Re: Confusion!!!

Thank u very much prasad_den and ravi for ur suggestions.
They are priced at approx 60000/-on Lenovo website. Actually these r latest launch from lenovo and they r claimed to be ultimate entermainment laptop in that range in India. Having 4.1 home theatre sound (unique) and TV tuner card with remote, face recognization etc.
I have two problem about buying lappy of dell which r :- Firstly they don't have any services in our state and if customized with same configuration the price goes above 65000/-. And for HP-Compaq I think the best buy within this range would be 6516TX but the Lenovo's lappy is offering more features than that of the HP.This is my thinking. Plz give suggestions if I m wrong here.
My one brother live in Bahrain and other in USA. If I request anyone of them to bring lappy from their own countries then it wont create problems, means that the laptops can be repaired here with their respective manufacturing company within the warranty period or I hav to take it to USA or Bahrain for repairing. Briefly, I get everything/services they offer here (if I buy lappy here) or not(when buy it from foreign). And which will be better :- from USA, from Bahrain or from India.
One similar problem occured when I hav a mobile bought from Bahrain. They say that it couldn't be repaired here bcoz of different soft. used.

Of course, there's no TV tuner card..! But you can get a cheap one separately.. And 4.1 sound in a laptop hardly makes any difference, I guess..!
But look at the positives.. you get everything you asked for at a lesser price..!

Configure the XPS 1530 similarly... you'll like that also..!!

Talking Re: Confusion!!!

Thank ur for ur quick reply, brother.
But the problem is that whether DELL offer its services in Bihar. The answer is no. I personally like DELL laptop too. Is there any other way to buy DELL laptop here? So I have no choices left.
One more thing, can u plz tell me whether latop price will rise or drop in upcoming 20-30 days bcaz I saw rise of price in one of the Lenovo laptop.
I personally asking one question from u : Should I go for such high priced laptop or not? as my brother don't prefer high priced laptop. He say just use for what u r buying (means study) not for games (but I like playing). And ur configuration will be old within in 2 years. I m totally confused about what to do?
