Just one quick note. Make sure your motherboard supports a single 512MB RAM module. Refer the other thread for information on whether you need 1x512 or 2x256. My advice, if you're not planning to do a heavy duty upgrade, go for the 2x256. If you're planning on uprading soon enough, go for a 1x512. You dont want to take up more RAM slots in case you wanna upgrade. Hynix will offer good enough performance at its cost. If you want a higher performance RAM and are willing to spend more, then go for a Transcend.

I maybe some late on this, but just wondering if your motherboard/processor supported dual-channel memory. If it did, you might think of 256x2 rather than 512x1.

Go for 1 stick , from this upgrade option will be open and a single stick cost less than the combined price of 2 sticks.
