how do i avoid getting my website hacked?

i have to make a new website not using php or any other server side languages for my school. Can anyone tell me some tips how to aviod any security loopholes in it? it will have to be like this website :

as my school has told us to model the design on that style. (it is the existing webiste). Please also tell me if any security flaws exist in the current design.

If you don'e want to PHP, use simple HTML.
You can use HTML page makers such as Microsoft Frontpage.

Pure HTML is almost unbreakable, yeah. But it'd break your head to code that much and end up with a silly looking page in the end.

Avoid using Frontpage.
If the site does not need any serverside scripting or accessing database, then a simple HTML+CSS code will do.

Use hardware firewall & Intrusion Detection System on server.

basic : dont distribute ur server PASSWORD 2 any1 .........

dont post any sensitive material which should b hacked ....... sounds silly bt true .....
