H1B Visa Query

Hi all,
I am working in an IT Company. My H1B Visa was initiated last year by my company but unfortunately it did not get through because of the lottery system. My visa was initiated in the month of March. Can anyone here tell me where does the American Consulate actually start the Visa process and when do they start taking applications. I am stressing this because i dont want my Visa to be rejected this time and need to ensure that my documents reach them before the cap is filled. Please help me in this regard.

Visa process starts on April 1....tht's when they start taking applications....as far as i know, u can't do anything to help ur visa being selected.....its a total lottery system.....u have 50% probability...
