Default Problwm : Lite-On Disk Reading

There is problem is opening the contents of the disc....getting message as :


Prepare a Blank disc
29-11-07 (Current date)


Formatting Options


How can I solve this ?

try checking cd\dvd @ ur frds place ..... if it works there, then clean ur drives lens ...... & then popin cd\dvd again ......


same happened with my sony drive & tried above thing & now almost all dvd`s r readable .........

As..my drive is in warranty....so..can't open it...
Can I use..lens cleaner cd.......if yes...which one ?

yes use lens cleaner CD.
There are plenty of such CD available in market.Just find any from your local market.

Download firmware from

Specify your model number and then download firmware accordingly.
After download completes , run the firmware update, that might solve your problem.I too have the same problem, then I updated my drive firmware and problem solved.

New Problem: My DVD writer writes dvd smoothly but show error while while writhing CD....Burn Process Failed.
