Default .:: phpNuke Installation Woes ::.

When I am installing phpnuke 7.5 after the installation when I go to the admin page this is what I am getting:

Quote:
There seems to be a problem with the MySQL server, sorry for the inconvenience.

We should be back shortly.

Can someone please help

OLD QUESTION TEXT

Is there a free alternate to php nuke? If yes can someone throw more light on it with appropriate download links.

Are older versions of Phpnuke available for free?

Any idea how much php nuke costs if purchased online. Is it too costly??

Thanks
