YOU CANNOT DESCRIBE THE PROPERTIES OF THE FILE. TRY TO OPEN THE FILE DIRECTLY FROM YOUR CD/DVD. IF ITS NOT OPEN THEN MAY BE THE FILE IS CORRUPT. PLEASE GIVE THE DETAILS OF THE FILE.

Re: Help me to copy cd & Dvd to Hdd
u may try ur luck with some linux livecd and use "dd" command to create an image of the cd(whatever available).crc error means cd may be damaged.

Re: Help me to copy cd & Dvd to Hdd
CRC issues. The Disc must be badly scratched. No go, forget copying it. Videos would play fine, as it happens at times (You don't see it skip frames). But copying will fail, always.

Re: Help me to copy cd & Dvd to Hdd
Hmm, after Win 9x, MS-DOS copy errors are the same as CRC errors I guess. Try copying it with some other Optical Drive?

Re: Help me to copy cd & Dvd to Hdd
brand new cds too can have crc errors dude.If you're on windows then you can use some bad cd recovery tool like iso buster(it aint free though but there are a lot of free alternatives as well) which replaces the unreadable data with garbage/0's and let you copy whatever is readable.

Re: Help me to copy cd & Dvd to Hdd
make an image with alcohal
while making image choose an option "skip reading error"
alcohal make an image without those error,(skip)
try it... it worked for me all the time for video/audio cd/dvds
not recommended for any s/w or game
or another way is to convert it to mpeg with vcd cutter or any splitter and save as mpeg...
after changing and saving the format u can burn again with nero
