Default Way to identify what chips are on Transcend DDR2 modules

Just found this info on some thread on XS a few days back. Not able to find it nw though. Actually no pic was posted there....so here is a quick & dirty to find out what chips are there on ur Transcend DDR2 sticks.

I have taken example of a DDR2 667 stick.

Here is an image below,plz look at right end side of the cardcode, marked in black circle, there will be an alphabet there.

Here is the list on what the alphabets mean

N= Micron
M= ProMos
Y= Nanya
E= Elpida
P= Powerchip (PSC)

people having new axeram can post their findings as well in this thread

As while buying we can always see this thing(the alphabet at end of barcode)...I guess it will be really helpful while buying Transcend DDR2 in the market

Btw as of the quality of the chips , its like (frm best to worst)

Micron > Promos > Elpida > Powerchip > Nanya ( people may differ in their opinion on this though

i am using 2x1 gb drr2 667 mhs ProMos ruiing stock speed 667 mhs at 5-5-5-12
