so that means if we have to use reliance r-connect card for surfing, we need to buy a laptop first.

isnt there such cable which connects pcmcia to desktop via usb? i mean making this stuff is technically that difficult?

if i buy a datacable, i have to get new RIM handset and connection....i have to pay for phone which i dont intend to use.

R-connect card, i assume, must be cheap as compared to handset. and rates are flat. Rs 650 and Rs 1500 per mon depending on scheme...so i gues 650 scheme is decent enough...

if i use reliance handset with datacable i think i have to pay more than that for net use. correct me if m wrong

well if u get the connection using the phone + Data cable it becomes a costly affair

firstly the handset, even the samsung slim model black one costs abt 1700 Rs in most of the Reliance Web World Outlets

seconds the original data cables coss anything from Rs 900 onwards

even a cheap one costs abt 400-500 bucks

and then u have to choose the righ scheme for ur phone

even if u get prepaid it wod be around 300 Rs

and then the 650 + service tax which wod come to abt 720 Rs

this aint a viable option for a Internet Connection

Instead get the BSNL second phone and the VSNL unlimited 1 month connection for rs 331
