How This is possible ?

Guys in one of my friend's system i saw a miracle i.e; if we want to see hidden files, we can move to tools->folder options->show hidden files and folders;from this we can look up on the hidden files in all folders and drives

but my question is although we done above process, in my friend's system it was showing only the corresponding folder hidden files only i.e; if we want to see hidden folder "addons" in d:\mozilla\addons when i applied
tools->folder options->show hidden files and folders only the addons folder is visible coming to back to c: or f: drives all the files are being hidden again and once again i am going to apply tools->folder options->show hidden files and folders

Also local settings folder in user account is invisible even if i done
tools->folder options->show hidden files and folders and the bottom 2 options also
how this is possible

i unchecked those options also

try reset all folders option in the top of window
and then aplly the settings
might work out
the settings are being applied locally somehow

this is a trojan problem
so fisrt run spybot then hijackthis ..

and then try ..

Iam 100% sure this is not any thing like trojan or worms or adware
iam thinking it was done with the help of registry

i don kno about u, but similar thing happened many times with me and the result was virus. Also the orkut virus which has been discussed many times in this forum do something similar

Really, u have to check for Virus or Trojan.

sireesh i dont know clearly whether it is a virus or a trojan but it was my main IBM Server,24 hrs online protection will be there for it than what is the way to some virus or trojan
