Yet Another Slow Connection

I hav YOU telecom 2mbps connection
it uses WAN Miniport (PPPOE)
but getting drastically slow speeds
(8 KBps in Opera)

tried with Cust care but only got long complaint nos
tried Connection boosters

No viruses nothing
I hav Comodo FW installed with Avast
No problems from config side

Can anybody help?

are you getting the same speed for every file you downloaded using opera ?
because for some sites download traffic will be high i.e; maximum number of users trying to downlaod the same file with you

Also try using some safari browser

yes with anything I download i get the same speeds

I updated my LAN card drivers
now the speeds are same and
it is saying that you have limited or no connectivity
however the connedction still works

the card driver is Rhine II fast ethernet adapter (2-5-07)!!
