McAfee problem

My vendor installed McAfee (v4.5.1) on my pc
ever since hes installed the s/w ive noticed a drop in the performance of my p3 (read: speed)
and he had password protected it so that no one else can change the settings
however now ive forgotten the password and so cannot make any changes

i think the vendor must have misspelt my name (the reverse of which was supposed to be the password... stupid naa) !!

any suggestions how to crack the password?

@technovice: Unless you can remember the password for your settings, you are pretty much out of luck, except for uninstalling and reinstalling McAfee VirusScan. You cannot crack the master password. Just download the latest SuperDAT file from McAfee, and uninstall and reinstall the application and then apply the SuperDAT and other engine updates. This time around, you will be able to custom configure your settings.
