Default DrDivx Encoding!!!!

i recently downloaded dr divx 1.0.6 n encoded some of my mpeg1 movies
here are the probs i faced...
1.Video n audio doesnt go together (audio comes later than video)
2.after encoding, when i play the movie, the video stops playing midway but the audio keeps playin till the end
3.will the settings b different if i have to encode DVD movies to Divx movies.

I have been using DrDivx for quite some time now and have not had any problems. Was the audio ok in the preview?

There is nothing wrong with your setting. This has already been discussed and it seems that somehow a lot of people, including yours truly, have a problem with the newer DivX codecs. Go to this thread here to read up:
http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14762

Personally, I find that using the older 4.11 codec yields the best stable framerates when converting movies from MPG to DivX AVI. You can also find a link to download the older codec from there. Just configure Dr. DivX to use the older codec and you can set the quality to Maximum and sit back and get your movie done without a single framerate hiccup.
