Prevent guests to view hard disk files

On a single computer, how can administrator prevent the guest to view the files of certain drives...

By default, windows only prevents guests to view the documents. Other files are public.

I am asking that how can we prevent guests to view certain other files on hard drive through gpedit.msc or administrative tools.

If not possible thru windows, any other software???

In XP Professional, if you disable "simple file sharing" in folder options, you can setup detailed file security options. Right-click on folder, go to "Sharing and Security tab", go to security tab, go advanced, setup rights and attach to all files and sub-folders...

thanks, i have xp home..let me see if there is a similar option there...

In XP Home, I think you have to go into Safe mode to make use of this option...

Download Security Configuration Editor from MS site.

After you install it you will see Security Tab.
