Unhappy torrent speed


look, i use Utorrent , and i luv to download movies and games. i am using an MTNL unlimited connection , with speed of 128 - 256 kbps. My download speeds on utorrent have NEVER crossed 23 kbps. could you please reccomend a way to increase that???????/ i have tried reducing my upload limit, but that decreases the speed!!!! HELP:confu sed:

23's a pretty good speed for 256 these days. If your ports are all forwarded (The icon in the status bar below is GREEN if so) then this is your maximum possible speed, you have to live with it.

There is a registry tweak to use da bandwidth reserved for windows purposes like updating windows from MS etc crap crap....
just extract da rar file nd run da .reg file nd restart...ull get a small boost in speed.

check your internet speed here http://www.speedtest.net/
Once you check divide the number by 8 and that should be your maximum download speed at that instance of time..
Say it give you that you have speed of 200kbps then you should have a download speed in torrent of 200/8=25 Kbps. Try it!

are you sure that its 23kpbs and not 23KBps ?

yaar ven I find the termelogy little confusing anyway mention the full form !!

if its 23 Kilo bytes / second then its good as ISP terms u are getiing 8 times higher in terms when u calculate like 184 kilo bits / second !!!

as QM said not a bad seepd when you are talking about a 256 kilo bits / second connection
