Is my friend hacked ??
Well....yesterday my friend chatted to an unknown buddy........an...dere hi transfers several files....n receives too.....he chatted for almost 2 hrs.....Now...he is in doubt...whether that guy hacked his system or not because he heard that....we can acess other pc using yahoo messenger....is that possible ???

It is possible. Ask him to scan all the files he recieved with a good anti-virus. Good firewall is also needed. But all the good things can go to waste if people are not careful. There is no patch for human stupidity

Ya...he scanned all files using Kaspersky Anti virus.....no threat detected...and firewall is also enabled....he is using vista ultimate.

yes...there can be threat if you transfer some unknown files over yahoo chat.Tell your friend to change his yahoo password and also security question.

Is it possible....that...while chatting....he took the control on my friend pc...and transfers some data ?

then the chances wud 0.1%

Don't have any idea about that.But I havn't heard anything like that.he can only leave some unwanted script in your computer and steal your yahoo password.
so, change your password and scan your computer.Thats all

i wud suggest u 2 delete all da file received frm dat online frnd as day might contain steganographic executable code which even a gud antivirus and fire wall can not detect....and change ur password and other securit related things....
