Nlite :


nLite is a GUI (Graphical User Interface) that lets you do a permanent removal of Windows components that you've decided not to retain on your PC. After the removal, you get an option to make a bootable image, which won't contain the components that you removed prior to making the image. You can test this image in virtual machines or burn it onto a CD to do a fresh install.

nlite & vlite are soooo buggy.
its better to do everything manually so you know the exact consequences of your actions. And better make a reg and unreg file of every tweak you do. Its better that way.

I used both of them and i can say they are the best slipstreaming s.w
ya they have some bugs but that doesnt mean they are buggy

Only IE7 intergration gives bug of unrecognized version of driver
and in timezoe(if india selected) it get back to 1 hr back...
thats it and its well knowned by any nlite user...
nuhi released new nlite with these fixes 1 or 2 week before

i hv installed few softwares..and ..Ms Office Pack...

Now i what is the next step

Nlite is used to intergrate or remove s.w,hotfixes,drivers.
Its better knows as Slipstreaming
With Nlite u can make(ammend) xp as per ur requirment...

Nlite is just a slipstreming s/w which only need .net framewok to be installed on ur pc to run Nlie

u can use it for making unattended xp with all drivers and hotfixes...
so u dont need any driver/hotfixes/s.w to install after xp installation...

Yesh till yesterday i was searching the net for how to include my Driver into the windows installation CD but i was not successful . I even gone through the thread

This tell us how to manually configure the Bootable Xp CD but also i was not able to do.

After reading i downloaded the nLite and its really working. I have made the ISO image of the CD and looking forward to burn it on CD which will be the special for my PC. Hurray !!!!!!

We hv to copy the windows source files into a folder...

Now wht is this?Is is the Windows Installation CD?

yup
y need bascialy i386 folder to slipstream(but recommended to all files for n00b)
make a new folder and copy all files from ur xp cd...
its the first step of nlite
u need not to copy anything manualy
just make a new folder and rename it xpcd
thats it
