Help Cant View Hidden Files

hi guys.....
m struck in dis big mess......
actully there ws a worm in my comp which opened drives into new windows n hd disables the search option along wid corruptin windows media player .......
it wsn`t allowin me to del autorun.inf file also.....
thnx to Nod32 antivirus......i gt rid of dis bullshit......
bt one prob still remains intact.....
I M NOT ABLE TO VIEW / ACCESS HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS....
AS SOON AS I GO TO TOOLS -> FOLDER OPTIONS -> SELECT ON VIEW HIDDEN FILES/FOLDERS......IT ROLLS BACK TO DO NOT SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS......

m totally bugged by it......
cnt find a soln 4 it n hv tried diff. antiviruses n spyware removin tools bt all in vain.......

Maybe its just a registry trick?

User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\
Advanced]
Value Name: Hidden
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (1 = show hidden, 2 = do not show)

Set the key or create it appropriately.

thnx a tonn 4 rplyin.......

tried it.....bt of no avail.......
it shows hidden files once bt as soon as i click on do not show .......
it does allow me to show thm next time frm da option "show hidden files" and rolls back automatically.....
only way i cn view thm is by chngin dis reg. key over n over again....

ne other permanent soln to it?????

reset it back to 1 from 2. ( to do that right click CheckedValue>modify>value data >

VALUE WS PLACED @ 0 INITIALLY.......SO ROLLING IT BACK TO 1 SOLVED THE THING IN THE REG ENTRY U MNTND......
