What are the settings required when we convert a file into AVI format?

I have an MKV file which I'm trying to convert to AVI. I'm using a program to convert this file from MKV to AVI which is asking for settings before starting the conversion. Its asking for settings like Resolution etc. Can anyone who has experience on DVD Ripping or converting file to AVI give me the appropriate setttings please!

allowable settings depends on wat sw u usin to do d conversion

as 4 resolution, it wolud mean the size of the displayed pictured

if u wan2 decrease the size of the vdo den u may decrese d resolution by mantaining d aspect ration or else d picture may get unnaturally streached
