Default WMP causing problems

I have the habit of playing big playlists containing 50 or more songs. Two days i noted a problem. After playing 2 consecutive songs, the whole desktop hangs for a few seconds (upto 20 seconds max.) and the third song is not played. (There is no problem with the location of the song. If i double click it to play it, it is played). THe next 2 songs are played and the third one has some problem. This continues till the end of the playlist.

i have attatched the screenshot and i guess you can understand the problem clearly with its help

waiting for solutions

First check that the files exist or not,
or if the path of the file is changed?

if u do have files, and in the same path as SPECIFIED IN PLAYLIST, then try playin them in SAFE mode.(you may not hear the audio in SAFE mode, but u can see this ---> "!" icon)

if you playing songs from any manually created playlist [m3u, wpl] and location of your song fies in drive changed then WMP doesn't update it automatically...

add your song files to WMP's Media Library and scan again for folders where you have your song files...

also check if ur song files for any codec incompatibility...

if i double click a song,(which is not played normally), it is played. there is no problem with the location of the songs.
since they play, i dont think there is a codec problem

@swat, the problem persists in safe mode also
