Question Bluetooth music system?

Friends one of my friend is making a music system. he wants it to be wireless. but using normal frequencies will mean that it may interfare with FM radio. thats why i was thinking if its possible to use bluetooth somehow. Philips has one system which uses bluetooth but how can it be done? any idea?

Lightbulb Re: Bluetooth music system?

Hi Anindya,

Its simple..Now a days many mobiles are coming with Bluetooth A2DP profile.
Which helps in listening to music wirelessly with stereo effect absolutely no distortion!

There are few companies which will give you a bundle...
One Bluetooth transmitter. {If the Music System Doesn't support Bluetooth}
One A2DP Bluetooth Wireless headphone.

Regards,
Sai

dont go for bluetooth its not gonna giv good results ...

use fm transmitters at 1 end and at the other tune the receiver to the tx freq ... it will not interfere as u can choose what freq u want to tx on .... u can even be ur buildings dj by telling ur frenz to tune to that freq

^^ ya thats what he planned for but then the way radio stations are coming up if that frequency is taken by a station then wont it create a problem? and why will bluetooth fail to give the desired result?

Generally the operating range of bluetooth is 10 mts...So bluetooth speakers will be limited to only 10 mts..Where as rf trans. will give u wider range..Also i suggest u to compare the cost price of both...

dont worry about radio stn taking a freq u can change it

u have a very wide range of 88 to 108 its still a long time till we have 20 radio stns working simultaneously

btw, you can find FM transmitters which work from 87MHz to 108MHz, so no worries about interference. commercial stations are only licensed to use freqs from 88 th 108mhz.

there is a trade off here. BT will give you more bandwidth than FM (considering only these two). however, it will be at the cost of range.
