Default info.exe


My computer copies info.exe to pendrive:\recycled\ folder and autorun.inf. I have AVG latest with me but nothing is detected. Kindly suggest

infected. Get Avast from http://www.avast.com and schedule a boot time scan

These are usb viruses which are auto copied when u connect to a system

Go to tools>folder options>view>
enable show hidden files & folder
un check hide protected OS files

Now search all root drives including ur usb drive which infected the comp & delete all "auto inf" files from it........................that should get you rid of this virus.

Not working.

Regarding avast.. the free version is very limited. I'm on a dialup and downloading a software and the updated may take long. I wonder if theres any manual way or single file removal type ... something like brontok washer?

What is not working??
Follow the steps & u definitely find the inf files.

Try sysinternals autorun and process explorer. I am sure you can solve your problem by yourself

Just finding out autorun.inf and deleating those did not work. I think now my svchost is infected. So i was thinking if someone know a good removal so that i dont have to reinstall windows
