Configuration question

Hi,

i've recently moved to the UK for education, and need to buy a laptop. I'd posted threads before about choosing a laptop (Dell Vs. HP etc) and i'd decided to buy a Dell inspiron 1520, which set me back about 51k.

Unfortunately, the 1520 series has a 5 week waiting period, and i'll probably only get my hands on it over christmas. This is not an option. I'd called the Dell customer service about the same, and they suggester a similar configuration for cheaper..Well, honestly? this sounds fishy to me. I can't help but think that some of the components chosen are not upto the mark. I'm just going to copy paste the config that the Dell staff mailed to me; Please tell me if it looks okay. I'm counting on you guys

I know some of the stuff is just silly (like the Mcafee support etc) but i want to know about the quality of the processor, the ram and the HDD (and anything else if it's important to the working/speed of the lap) I also plan to use wireless almost all the time.


Apart from this, if you guys know of any such configurations in this price range, please let me know!

As far as i know, this doesn't come with a bluetooth adaptor which i plan to get, but what else is severely missing?

what you are missing here is the carry case, windows vista, bluetooth, card reader, remote and porlly a higher capacity battery (does 1520 come wid 9+ cell battery by default?)

other than that all are standard components. there is no difference is quality!!!! rest assured abt that, at least
