1)What's the diff. b/n a router and a modem??
2)My friend's new card says "PCI-Express" while a slot on his motherboard says PCI-e.Are they the same thing??

The only change is that my OS is now Vista home premium.

What security programs (anti-virus programs,firewalls,ad-blockers and stuff) shud I install to get safe browsing condtion without major performnace hit.
