Default High page-file usage? reason?

hi guys,

normally my page file usage is quite less in idle... i.e., around 200-250MB. But after opening Firefox and Windows media player it shoots up to 500MB. Is this usage normal?

Both are memory hog software .. Especially Firefox is known for memory leakage issues ..

Best music player (with least resource usage) is Foobar ..
Browser .. I use Maxthon and I think its the best browser .. But people here will start giving you more "friendly" advices now ..

Waise why are you concerned of page file usage ..? Resources are there for utilization only .. If you use Firefox and satisfied with it, I am not sure you'll like any other software ..

That's a good point there but considering the fact that the PF usage never exceeded 250MB till now its a high usage for me. Nevertheless i've formatted the comp now nd its well within that limits!

thanx for ur replies.
