Go to Start>Run and type in regedit,
and then navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
and then delete any reference to Yahoo or YPager you find. Also check inside Yahoo Messenger to see if the "Automatically start with Windows" option is unchecked and that the program shortcut is not inside your Startup folder in Start>Programs>Startup
