Contra not running

Guys,
It's giving the message '3D Hardware could not be initialized' and when i deselected 3D hardware , then it's giving this message 'Your computer does not have DirectDraw hardware'

Which Emulator are you using?

ur DirectDraw Acceleration is probably disabled

my suggestion

Start->Run

type in dxdiag

in d window dat opens select d display tab

in der u will find a section called DirectX Feature

there u can enable d disabled features

and since u r @ it, might as well re-install DX using d latest redistributable and latest Grafix drivers

PS: Assumed dat ur grafix card supports DirectDraw Acceleration

dunno if it is bcos of this, but probably Hardware Acceleration is not set to maximum
2 check it out

Right click on d Desktop->Properties->Settings->Advanced->Troubleshoot->Hardware Acceleration

slide it to Full and c if it solves ur problem

den go back to dxdiag and enable them if needed

how old is your graphics card

maybe they dont support these features
