Default Notepad Error

Hi,
Notepad is my default application for opening .txt files.
But from last 2-3 days whenever i click on a txt file it gives an error.

Notepad has caused an error in executble notepad.exe
Application will now quit.
My notepad executable is perfectly ok and it works file when i open it using run command box or from start menu
Also when i open a file from nopetad,s File>>Open it works fine.

.I even replaced the notepad executable (c:\windows\notepad.ex) but the problem is not solved. It still gives error.

What could be wrong???

Have u installed Microsoft Office alternative packages on your computer, like OpenOffice.org or any other FREE alternative. Most of this creates file association for themselves without warning u. So check that out. Check for file associations and remove the one u don't need or set windows default association for .txt files.
