AFAIK u can
just ensure dat in d BIOS ur RAM latency is set according to d higher latency RAM else it will not b detected

i can say dat with a certain amunt of confidence 'cause i got 2 with 2 diff latencies

wen i reduce d latency to 1.5 only 1 RAM is shown, whhereas wen i increase it to 2 both shown

i hav award bios in my biostar (via chipset mobo)
where can i find its settings

i only find this relevant in the bios

it is currently set as 2.5

should i change this

dun remember d exact location right now
just check out sum section called RAM latency it shud have valu like 2-2.5 or sumthin similar

i can tell u d exact location only after i shut it down and restart it
will shut it only tommorow morning

just reduce it by 0.5 nd c upto which point both RAM detected

my friend has a intel 845GVSR mobo and he bought a 256 MB DDR 400 RAM frm me .he had a 128MB 333Mhz ram in his system but he is now unable to use both ram sticks together.only the 400MHz ram is detected even when both d ram sticks r inserted in d slots

change BIOs settings to fail-safe defaults and c if dey r detected or not
