Oh my boy you should start learning HTML at first. Then some scripting language like JavaScript and PHP. Go through " Digit Fast Track to Web Design" with July 2006 issue. If you do t have this then the good place to start is http://www.w3schools.com/

BTW i am also learning web design

Since you have knowledge of HTML. Here are steps for website.

1. Register a Domain which costs around Rs 300 for a year
2. Get Free or Paid hosting. Depends upon you. The hosts will give you his server's nameservers so that the site starts resolving on their server
3. Upload the HTML on your hosting account

Enjoy For anything else contact me since i have a Webhosting business

There are so many WYSIWYG software available, there is no need to learn HTML to create a website. Although it is good if you know HTML.

WYSIWYG editors insert a lot of extra junk code into html files. Best way to write HTML is to write yourself via Notepad.

Try comparing sizes of HTML of a page from Dreamweaver, FrontPage and Notepad. Difference matters.
