Default WIDOWS XP- SYSTEM RESTORATION- NOT WORKING

SYSTEM RESTORATION IN MY COMPUTER IS NOT WORKING.INSTEAD ,IT SHOWS THE FOLLOWING ERROR SIGN.:
AppName: rstrui.exe AppVer: 5.1.2600.0 ModName: msctf.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.0 Offset: 00019769
HOW TO RUN IT?
