Arrow ~~HOW TO CONVERT DUAL LAYER DON MOVIE DVD INTO DIVX OR OTHER (which ever is best)????


HELLO guyz,
i copied the dual layer Don dvd (7.59 G.B) from digit june '07 issue in my hard drive. My cousin have that dvd and is out of station now .........i dont want to delete the movie as i love the movie.... .So, i want to convert it into other format (divx, mp4.........or any thing) so that without reducing quality reduce only size upto minimum.......i hav Nero 7, & total video convertor.....so which Format, and software is best 4 me which maintain quality but reduce only size.........i hear 4 simple divx it is good or not??????
HELPPPP,........ me pleazzzzzzzzzz

Use XVid for compression.
Alternatively you can use DVD-Shrink or A4DVDShrinker to transcode the original to single layer dvd size.

Xvid is better than Divx in many aspects. It provides better results for same bitrate. But yes it is slower as compared to divx in encoding speed. Use it only if you have high end CPU.
Else if you have a DVD-writer then just transcode it to single DVD size and have a copy using DVD Shrink. It is much faster and better menthod.
