My Configuration Is.........!!! HelP
Yes my config.. is intel 1.6~ Ghz, Mercury Motherboard KOB845NFSX, 128 SD ram, 32 mb SiS graphics card..
Now I want to upgrade my ram and graphics card to 512 ram and 64 or 128 graphics card. I want to ask u guys that will my pc support the new things.
Please tell

yeah..u can upgrade to 512mb ram....r u having SiS Graphics Card with u now?, u can put a newer card.....

thanks, Yes i have.., but I am upgrading it in this summer. Also I want to know that with this new configuration can I able to play Half life 2 smoothly

I doubt the 845 based mobo will have an AGP slot or if it does it will have a 4x AGP slot. You need a 8X slot for an Ati radeon 9600/9800 PRO.

No u dont need a 8X slot. Even a 4X slot would do. The 8X card will just run at 4X and there isnt much of an improvement between 4x and 8X anyways.

that report saya it all....
u can put upto 3GB of RAM (SDRAM of 133MHz speed) , and yes u can put an AGP 8X card in an AGP 4X slot, no problems.....
go for Radeon 9600 pro or 9800 AGP Card.....
u have 3 RAM slots, and now u have 128MB RAM, upgrade to atleast 512MB Total RAM.....

Hey remeber SD RAMs today cost a bomb and prices going up every day. A few weeks back i enquired the rates were 2000 for 128 MB SD RAM and 4K for 256.
Pls dont delay ur ram upgrade. Do it as soon as possible

9800 non pro will cost you above 10K. The 9600 pro will cost you around 8K. So its upto u.
