Question disk partition problem


hello frns recently i fromatted windows n created a new partition of 5 gb out of 25 gb allotted to it earlier...nw d problem is that this partition(5gb) is created as primary partition....i want to join this with another 5 gb of partiton which is extended partition...how can i do this???

there are some softwares which do shrink and extend volume.. but i will prefer you to repartition.. coz many times these things arent very safe...

search forum for information on such DM

You can use Partition Magic. However; like shantanu I would suggest u to start a fresh.

So delete the 5 gb partition as well as 20GB partition and then create a 20gb partition. This will become ur primary partition and 5gb would become extended.

I guess u don't have any data in it as of now

Agreed! I have used partition magic many times and never once had lost data...

partition magic is a piece of crap.

cant be trusted.

would prefer repartitioning manually anyday.

d00d if u got no data on d HDD den cre8 new partitions deleting all older 1s

ID ur HDD and use ur HDDs Disk wizard 2 do so
u may use sumthin like UBCD 2 do so

If you are not having enough time to type full words and using shortcuts which are not understandable by a beginner then why are you there? Go and first complete your work!!!!!!!!!

i cutted down those words too make u realise how " many many " sms words your using.

Back on topic : use partition Magic for merging after defragmentation.
