For Sify u can do nothing. They got all kinds of caps u can ever imagine.

One has to just Suffer with SifyNarrowband.
You could either pay more to Sify for better speeds and still suffer or just Suffer with the current speed.

heard of a s/w called some uncapper that actually uncaps the speeds even for cable modems. May be some kinda uncapper may work. still not sure

Nothing will work m Damn sure. Sify is a huge Corporate and would have safeguards for this. On unlimited connections they cap u at 24kbps(3Kbps download) if u exceed 75MB in a day(this policy has changed to 150 MB/Day download limit)

well i have a cable modem uncapping kit with me..
with it doesnt work as it need dcph enabled which isnt in our cases..
neways isnt uncapping against the law??.i think so..and can even send u to jail..
so be careful b4 doing such things..
