Default Help! Bottleneck of 8600gt!

Hi!
I am here after a lot of days........just got internet at hand now...

Guys, i need your help!!!! please help!

I am planning to buy a new XFX GEFORCE 8600GT 256mb graphics card. My current configuration is:
Amd Athlon 3000+ (939pin)
Kingston 512x2 DDR 400 Ram
ATI X1600 pro graphics card 256mb
Asus A8n-e motherboard

My question is, is there any possibility of my processor bottlenecking my new card 8600gt? and is 8600gt worth an upgrade in my present configuration?

Please gurus, i need your help.........
thanks in advance

I don't think bottlenecking would be an issue.

The CPU will bottleneck the GPU in this case. Get a 7600GT instead.

wats the price of 7600GT ? i dont think its much and u can aswell go4 8600GT although it doesnt have much performance benifit ( dont even mention the word directx 10 to this card ) .pure vedio HD may come in handy as u got a relatively old proccy . i vote for 8600GT .

tell us what games/software do you wanna run? i find x1600 pro quite usable and i don't think its a good idea to get 7600gt. no way!

Well my atix1600 pro card roughly gives me 17fps on an average(Low-Medium settings) in the game Lost Planet in dx9 mode........ I have a 19" Samsung 940BW LCD and i cant fall below 1152x864 resolution or the game looks weird and torn out. I did quite a research on the internet and had mixed reviews. Some say that for 7.5k, this card has got value for money while some say this card is a joke and even a 7600gt beats it! I am really confused as what to do now...
I intend to play all the latest ames like Crysis,Bioshock,Lost Planet at descent framerate and descent graphics setting.....

Hey sagar, you seem to own the XFX 8600gt card......any suggestion of yours would be of great help! Also, you seem to run it on single core processor like me.....

Hey friends,
Waiting for your replies!
