Shortcut's not working

All the application shortcut's on my desktop are now open VLC media player...DOnt know exactly but somehow .ink is associate with VLC.I can open applications by browsing C:\Program Files\

Even i cant create any new shortcut....VLC open

Help me guys to restore it to default.....

no it is not an infection....sure abt that......any other idea???

Seems to have the symptoms of an infection...or windows going boink.

or u accidently changed the file association to open all files with VLC (folder options, file type) there should be a set default or something simillar, and if you search the forums there's probably a registry entry if u like to play with that as well.
