port open or not

Hi guys , i use utorrent for dowloading torrents and when the port that utorrent is using , i checked it that if the port is open or not , the site says its not open but when i check for open port using netstat it says the port is open and listening.so can any one tell whether the port is open or not .

when u just open speed guide in utorrent and to check if the port is forwarded or not on utorrents site it says its not open but when i download any thing using utorrent client and check for open port using netstat the following said port is open and listening.what is this i dont whether the port is open or not.

as long as d port opens up wen data needs 2 b transferred thru it y shud u worry
