Default Help With Installation Of Hard Drive


i recently got a Seagate Barracuda Model Number: ST3300820AS
Model Site On Seagate http://tinyurl.com/33aw37
i got the hard disk but no screws wires and stuff
i wnt to kno how to install it
if any1 cloud plz help me out thnx...

u dont need wires 2 attach a hdd 2 ur cabinet

wat u need is a small packet of philip head screws to do d job

go 2 any local comp dealer and ask 4 a packet of dose

he shud give u a small packet of such screw, probably contain 20-25 such screws

d screws nothin special just ask 4 screws 2 attach d hdd into d cabinet.
d packet of screws not cost more than 10 bucks

or if u got small screws, try usin them, c if it fixes d hdd 2 d cabinet frame, den u wudn't have 2 buy d packet of screws

as 4 cable, since it is a SATA drive ask 4 SATA cable, d dealer wud know

Guess now how to fix ur HDD. Just connect the cables present inside ur cabinet. The colored connecter is the power supply. The data cable is not visible in the image. You can see the screws, where they're fixed.

@The Unknown ...... u have the pix ...... nice kinda tut ........

u can also checkout some old digit mags ........ where u can find out abt all connections 2 hdd, motherboard, ram, rom etc ........


i cant recollect the issue ......... just ask the mods or digit ppl ........ nice explanation with pix ........
