Default 8X on PCI-x or PCI-X on 8X ????

Just two simple questions =>

Q 1. Will an AGP 8X G-card work on an PCI-X mobo ( If not, WHY?)

Q 2. Will an PCI-X G-card work on an AGP 8X mobo ( If not, WHY?)

PS. I know that I have asked one of the questions before also but nobody properly answered !!!

Neither an AGP card fits in a PCIE slot, nor a PCIE card fits in an AGP slot.
Thats their interfaces (pin) are different.
Don't be upset , an AGP card loses out to a PCIE of the same chipsets by inches.[/b]

Sorry, you cannot install your 5700 AGP card on a system based on the following chitsets:
Intel 915 for P4 5**
Intel 925 for P4 5**
nforce4 for AMD Athlon64.
(AMD Athlon 64 can also be used on mobo with nforce3 chipset which has AGP slot)

Inorder to use your older card in your new system go for 865 or 875 chipset based mobo for intel.
Go for nforce3 if you prefer AMD 64
Go for nforce2 or 3 if you prefer AMD Semprons.
