@iamtulpin guess ur infected.. am not sure which virus..

but svchost.exe is a virus.. plz download this and run a check from a secure location
Stinger

this will find the viruses and take care of it.. after that do this..

Start->regedit

there navigate to Hkey_local machine\softwares\microsoft\windows\current version\run

there del any values stating SVCHOST (also run once)

do the same thing in Hkey_currentuser\softwares\microsoft\windows\curre nt version\run
(also run once) will update as soon as i get more info..

@iamtulipin: try this out....restart in safe mode,uninstall ur antivirus application,restart nd install back the scanner....looks like it wont do much but a frnd of mine had his svchost error fixed by this unusual way!!

Default svchost

svchost.exe is not a virus. it is just a process of windows running in background.

@prathap only the SVCHOST tat is in the process menu is needed.. not a SVCHOST.exe that loads in startup and has reg keys in the location i said.. if u have errors saying SVCHOST.exe not loaded like in the above error msgs it means u r affected..
