Need Help in Project for Final Year..

Hi there everyone.. I am doing 3rd year computer engineering Diploma now. This my final year, and we have been assigned to do a project in a subject of our liking.. I chose visual basic since we are learning that now and am extremely fond of the coding and designing part.


But, we [my group] are facing dilemma in deciding a topic for the project. The teachers say that we should find out on our own rather than asking them.. So, if anyone out there, who is a bit experienced in VB 6.0 has any interesting ideas for the project or even the source code of the project, it would be REALLY helpful for us.. If anyone knows where to buy Visual Basic projects [Readymade] so that we can modify them to our liking and make a thorogh new project, please let me know that too.. thanks for helping..

ya Pranav n I are making project on VB. We r in same college. We have no experience of VB projects but r learning VB subject. Well I can give you an idea...but I dont know about its uniqueness...

You can design a software for ad-agencies(who have ads locations in diff. part of the city). The software should show the assigned and unassigned locations on the map of the city. When a user clicks a location on the map it should search the database and give user details of that location. You can assign/reassign/unassign a location by clicking on the map. It should also work as a complete record keeper for everything related to such agencies.

The project may be simple but can have a good impact...

Try to have some interaction with hardware..Like voice recognition kind of thing. Or simply controlling a surveillance camera. These are only ideas. I don't know VB, but my friend expert in VB made a game in which he used his steering wheel to move. And he won first prize in software display competitions. This hardware interaction thing really works. Do something that will pay and you can use in real life.

Firstly, i apologize to everyone here.. I am extremely sorry of the post i made earlier.. Yes, you are right. It's absolutely disgusting to ask for source codes directly. It completely ruins the "engineer's" level of academics.. I was unsure of how and WHAT to type here to get answers from you guys.. Once again, i would say that this was the first and last time i took advice here from thinkdigit.. NO, you weren't wrong at telling me that it's shamefull.. but it was the WAY you said it to me. Don't consider me or my pal bhushan05D251 as a noob.. The ignorance that you expert with your post is pretty annoying. Please correct your manners and etiquettes and only THEN please consider posting help. If you just want to flame someone, go do it somewhere else. Cause this ain't a joke for us. You get me Screwad?

You can go for some code projects like:
Data compression, Data Encryption, Image Processing, Sound Processing, Networking(Building an ad hoc network)Mobile Computing, SOft Computing, Database projects like mining and warehousing, etc.
These ideas were given to us yesterday in my class.
I too have to submit a topic by next week. And I don't have much strong knowledge over VB.
As someone said above, if you throw in some hardware interaction like Wireless technology or infrared communication(easy) the projects can be a good one.
