How to write my avi files into a dvd

I hav a lot of collection of movies and songs which are in .avi format and i want to write them onto a 4.7 GB dvd like dvd movie

is there any way??
I confused a lot..

please suggest me any way..!!!

do you want to just write the files to the disk or convert the files to some other format and then burn them?

Sir! actually i want to play them as movies on my dvd player
coz my nero doesn t support burning avi files to write on a dvd
when i want to burn a Video DVD.....
i use nero 7 ....

any solution....

or atleast i can play on my system
tell me just how to write the avi file to the dvd...

i think u can write them .... just selecting data disc optin will do ... i ve done it . but this dvd ll play only on compu when done so

those disk will only work on dvd player if the player supports .avi files otherwise convert the files to dvd format first with any s/w and then burn them to the disk.

search for video conversion s/w...
