Right-click on "Command Prompt" shortcut and select "Run as Administrator" and then try again.

Yep. If its not in ur programs menu, then u can create a shortcut to "cmd.exe" and right-click on it and select "Run as Administrator".

If hibernation is supported then it defaults to Hibernation in start menu. Since it is now, I doubt if Hibernation is supported in that mother board

Do u see "Hibernation" written when u click on the arrow next to start menu's shut down & lock button.

Try this

Start -> run -> type CMD, if it gives a notification for UAC click ok

Type in DOS box

powercfg -h on

If this doesn't work try again with UAC turned off.

If it says "You do not have permission" then your account is not set as Admin. To disable UAC

Start -> Run -> type in "msconfig"

it will launch the config tool and under tools is an option to enable and disable uac. Then reboot & reenter the command.

And post which motherboard u have.
