Remote for pc

Does any1 know how to design a basic remote control for pc so dat i can play any song or movie, increase or decrease its volume and so on .... just like we do with our tv . I wud love to hav an infrared remote, not a bluetooth one. Or is there any way in which i can use my Onida tv remote to control my pc Dat wud b absolutely wonderful

You can buy a Media Center PC remote or you can buy a Wireless Multimdia Keyboard but that would be heavy

Ah! one last thing, if you have a Pinnacle TV Turner.....like i have ...you can configure its remote. Each Key pressed on remote passes a Windows Shortcut so its possible that way....other tv turners aswell but i am nt sure

yes you can do it with any infrared remote, search for Rs.121 Remote for PC by venkateshwarang on the forum

search in market..U will get remote for ur PC.U can even use ur mobile phone as remote for ur PC.I have sony ericssion k750i which can be also used as remote for PC...but I havnt tried it yet.

Search for Pinnacle Remote config file (profiles.ini). Most likely it would be
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Pinnacle\Remoterm\Profiles

This file contains exactly what do to on a particular key press
