original Nvidia 6600GT is not available for sale.
Your question should be like this-

Which amongst the following is a decent 6600GT ?
1] Asus
2] Gainward
3] Leadtek
4] XFX
5] MSI
6] Gigabyte
and so on.....

I guess thats his personal choice, if you want to leadtek go with it, the performance difference b/w most 6600GTs will be less than 2-3%.

never buy ASUS graphic cards thats wht i feel

who wod pay more for a graphic card which aint worth that xtra amount

thye still price their graphic cards in a league ahead of others

there was a time where geforce 4 Mx cards from other brands were abt 5k and ASUS ones for 10k and taht too with no fans

if i wod have to buy a 6600GT i wod go for XFX one

Get LeadTek.....they have good 6600GT.....search anandtech for 6600GT.....they have given LeadTek a Gold award.......even XFX has made good 6600GT....though I'm not a very big fan of XFX, they have done very good job with 6600GT!!!

I am aware that the entire Geforce 5 series was a total mess.

I dont have any comments on that.I was talking about Asus cards not Nvidia or ATI or for that matter Geforce 4 or 5 or 6

Hope you get my point.

The Best Nvida Cards come from B.F.G. [Big Fu****g Gun]

They provide the best Nvida Cards mostly for the xtreme OCers.
But not available in India.
There Nvida Cards Beat any other Nvida cards from othere Manufacturers.

Also for ATi its [Highly OCable]
- HIS with Ice-Q Technology.
- Herculeus 3D Prophet Series.

Go for an MSi .
It has a perfect combination of price nd perfomance. It could be better overclocked than XFX or Gigabyte.
