Default what is a Hub


i need to know what exactly is a hub system and how is different from an Lan sharing or for that reason give me details about it or any site related to it.Also what is T1 And T3 Lan system internet connections and is it available in india.

a hub is like a little box that can support multiple connections. for example suppose your hub is connected to the lan and has 4 connectiosn, 4 nodes (or comps) can access that lan using that one connection, by use of the hub. i dunno the difference with lan sharing. and i dunno bout t1 and t3 but i doubt they are available, especially for nice prices.
