Default !!! Problem with Partition Magic while Resizing....

hey guys...

Got a problem here.. i was resizing my Partition .. I mean i was decreasing size of one partition and adding remaining space to other... using PARTITION MAGIC 8.0..
and power went off... and when power resumed i started my PC...and i saw that the partition that was to be resized was not resized but some of its data was lossed... i mean.. the folders were represented by icons which were unaccesible and there were thousands of files named FILE01,FILE02, FILE 03...................and so on....
though some of my data is in good condition but the remaining is as i said... i am worried coz the collection was big...
again when i try resizing with Partition Magic then its says.. Cluster error.. Different Clusters and many other errors... even when i tried to DEFRAGMENT it... it doesnt work.. defragmentation stops and says drives contain errors...i checked for bad sectors and it says no bad sectors...
So again i tried MS SCADISK in windows ME... but that too hangs Up...
Suggest something yaar...

Regards..
Dipen
