Default NO COM ports in debice manager


i have winxp on my PC......in device it is not showing any link for ports(COM and LPT) etc etc....what could be the reason...what's the way out

may be a corupt OS installetion??

try insatalling drivers from motherboard CD
or
reinstall OS

- try resetting/clearing ur bios . maybe they got disabled accidently in the bios . check if theres an irq clash . in xp device manager , i think u have an option where u can " show hidden devices " . check if its there
