Opps...

Beware... It seems that you may have Virus/Malware !!!

Desable the System Restore http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310405

Update ur OS, http://update.microsoft.com

Get Spyboot SnD, http://www.spybot.info , install and update it, then run a system scan to clean and heal the system

Get any good AVS, like NOD32 / Kaspersky either install and update them to run a full system scan or u may try free online scanning option too, http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

!!!

@Kiran
Pls double check the file name in task Manager. coz in title u gave "svhost.exe" but in ur post u hv mentioned "schost.exe". If the file name is "svchost.exe" then there r very less chances that its a virus but if the file name is different then its 100% a virus infection.

If it is svchost.exe then its a core windows file that helps dll files with some stuff. If its any other filename then its a virus. If its svchost itself then you cna go by diabling the Automatic Update service and delete the Service Distribution folder in C:\Windows folder. Then your machine will work properly.

EVEN if its named svchost.exe, make sure its only on the system32 folder; ESLE then too (if its not in the system32 folder) it cud be malware.

I think I have a solution to this problem.

If folder option, task manager, and regedit is disabled them I am sure your computer is infected.

Try using sysiternals autorun and process explorer from sysinternals.com

First run the process explorer and kill the running file svchost under the explorer tree and kill all such process one by one.

Then using autorun disable the boot time schedule of all the killed process

If I am not clear, tell me
